I am a water resources engineer with a growing specialisation in carbon markets, climate mitigation, greenhouse gas accounting, and carbon project validation and verification. My focus is the mechanisms that quantify, independently assess and verify emissions reductions and removals before they become high-integrity carbon credits.
My interests cover carbon project development, baseline and additionality assessment, emissions quantification, permanence, leakage, uncertainty and safeguards. They extend to the voluntary carbon market, Article 6 of the Paris Agreement and Internationally Transferred Mitigation Outcomes, and to the link between carbon markets, corporate decarbonisation and climate finance.
My long-term ambition is to bridge engineering, carbon accounting, climate policy and sustainable finance so that credible carbon markets can support climate action across African economies. I welcome professional and research collaboration with project developers, validation and verification bodies, standards organisations, sustainability consultancies and climate finance institutions.
